Alginate is one of the most common and readily available life casting materials we use. As well as being used for life casting and teeth casting, it’s also used in certain mould making processes such as creating snap moulds.
Alginate is made from seaweed so it’s natural, organic, sustainable, relatively inexpensive and extremely safe – what’s not to love about this very agreeable compound found within the cell walls of brown algae!
